Dia de los Muertos is an immersive interactive installation presented at PortCottage PDX on November 1, 2022. The piece offered a performance aspect by including a webcam as part of the installation.

Sound design, patterns and background images were randomly selected from the provided field recordings and 360 videos in the Max patch.

Dia de los Muertos honors the annual Mexican, Central & South American Day of Death celebrations. The piece speaks to the Navigation of the Bardo realms after Death, experiences that resonate to my personal experiences as well as my birth on November 1.
